Hi All,
So I just joined blogger, hoping to find some answers about Asperger and following some Baclofen users, as I have been misusing alcohol for a while.
About me
- Asperger Autcast
- In 2010 I have been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, aka high-functioning autism. I love indie music, movies, photography and cooking. Feel free to contact me to share some of your thoughts or exchange information and tips on how to deal with Asperger. I misused alcohol as a medicine, a coping mechanism to deal with everyday life. For me alcohol relieves the anxiety of social situations and feels as if I can fit in, but since I know I’m an Aspie things changed for the better. I recently started with Baclofen to move away from my alcohol addiction and try to live as an Asperger. I drink to handle emotions and to fight this undefined feeling of loneliness I have had ever since I was a child. The hard part for me is autism and loneliness. I always thought people with ASDs were never lonely and they like to be on their own, but this is surely not for all people with an ASD. The Asperger diagnosis is really clearing up stuff for me and will also help me to understand my alcoholism better and move away from this destroying addiction. I drink to fit in, but I don’t fit in and I will never fit in. I am different and it takes time for me to accept that.
